I'm so used to products that don't work the way they advertise, I decided to take the time to write this... There are fifty reasons I like this fan. #1 It works the way a fan should. It directs the air all the way across a 50ft. room. It is increadable. Instead of having four fans in the room I only use this one. Plus....remote....yyaaaa.... I'm lovin it.....
i love this fan.i love the part where you can be sleeping and just reach over and grab the remote to turn it down or off,or on.it realy works.the weather has been 94 to 91 and realy hot and this fan does the trick.i was going to get a air cond. but thought i will get this one first and try it.am gald i did because it is saving me money.if any one needs one get this one or the same one with out the remote i have that one to and it is great.it is loud but it works.i even use it in the winter.
I bought this fan for a gift for my mother. She loves it. She thinks it is better than any fan she has ever owned. It is a very powerful little fan and she loves the remote control. It is a very good fan for the price and is better than some of the more expensive fans. I live in Arizona but the fan went to FT. Worth, Tx
This fan is much more than the picture on the website. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the unit, considerably larger than the picture would suggest. The fan has three speeds, which I didn't think I needed until I started using all three. The versatility of this fan is terriffic. It tilts up and down to direct the air just where you want it. Aimed at the ceiling it mixes the warm air above with the cooler air near the floor. On high speed the fan circulates all the air in my apartment, and at night I set the fan on low, making a soothing sound while moving the air, a nice sound to sleep to. The remote for this fan is very handy, for on and off operation as well as for changing speeds while on the other side of the room. It saves electricity with the timer feature, automatically shutting itself off after the set time. The timer can be set and changed with the remote, a handy feature. It is fairly quiet in operation, and even on high setting the sound is not unpleasant, considering the volume of air this unit moves. For under fifty dollars it makes a big difference in comfort. Shipping was fast, right to my front door, saving me a trip across town. Altogether a great buy. I recommend it for your home.
Ok first I need to explain that I use this fan in ways that most people reading this will not. This fan sits off to my right about 4 feet away on high speed pointing right at me for hours at a time. It makes my skin feel cool to the touch, just the way I like it. As far as the noise, I think its much better than some of the other fans I've purchased from Wal-Mart. Since I sit so close, the first one I bought sounded like a helicopter was about to land right on my forehead. The second one I purchased moved air equally as well but it sounded like the baby T-Rex wailing for its mother in that Jurassic Park movie. This one sounds like...well moving air. I can barely hear the motor. And it's powerful enough to make my shirt sleeves blow like a flag on a wind swept beach. I use it all the time, even now as I type this review. If you you buy this product, the only disappointment I can foresee is if you do not have 2 AAA batteries for the remote control as they are not included in the package. 5 Stars.
The fan features 3 speeds, a timer, and a remote control; it also has an adjustable tilt from top to bottom. It is loud and it lacks an oscillating mode, however, these are the ONLY faults I can find with this fan. It is powerful and a very effective and efficient cooler. On high, I can feel it from at least 25 feet. For the money, $33, I could not find a better fan! Go for it.
I use a fan as a sleep aide. So does my daughter. Any untoward rattle, squeak, tick, or hum will turn us into neurotic insomniacs. Lasko fans are quiet. They provide the white noise that blocks out city din with no more sound than is necessarily created as the blades impart movement to the air. On high, of course, they sound like a small airplane--has to be. On low, they provide a relatively quiet breeze without the repetitive clicks, buzzes, and rattles other fan brands can produce. The remote has a powerful infrared beam. You don't have to point at the fan to operate it. I point it anywhere in the room and the fan receives the signal. I have used Lasko fans for over 20 years. I especially like the fact that Lasko sells replacement motors and parts. I really try to put as little plastic as possible into landfills. Lasko lets me replace electrical components because they are probably the only manufacturer who sells parts. Way to go, Lasko! Sure, a new motor costs more than half of what a new fan costs but I don't care. I like the fan I have. I want to keep it running. I sleep better knowing I am not tossing needless junk into landfills.
I've had 2 of these fans for over 2 years and they've performed without problem. I use them on summer nights to draw cool air into the house so I don't have to run the air conditioner. This works great on most nights and I live in the Central Valley of California where it gets very hot. These fans are a class well above standard box fans. They are quiet and move a lot of air. PS. They won't tip over uncontrollably if you tighten up the big finger knobs on the frame which are built for that purpose. Nice Fans.
I love this fan. It is a great value for the price. I replaced a regular box fan because it didn't sufficiently blow the air. This fan has 3 speeds and really circulates air, true to it's "wind tunnel" moniker. I can feel it across the room on low speed. The remote control is a great feature for ease of use while in bed or relaxing and I like the timer feature so that I can set it to run for a finite period. I don't feel the fan is unreasonably loud. It gives a soothing purr rather than a rattling. The fan is surprisingly light weight. My only complaint would be that the moulded plastic didn't hold up well when the box was banged up during shipping and I had to send back for a replacement. I think it should hold up well under normal home use. I'd definitely purchase it again.
I bought this fan last year because we had a house built & with no trees around, the afternoon sun barring down on us & the hot Texas days my ac couldn't keep up. It's not a bad fan but it is very, very noisey. It puts out a lot of air & the remote control is nice to have but now I'm researching newer, more quieter fans just because of the noise. We can't hear tv (even with the surround sound on) & we have a 1 year old that sleeps in a room down the hall & I can't hear him if we have it on at night but if you don't mind the noise it will blow you away with the air output. It cools the room extremely well.
